Bad Lang Vol. IIBad Lang is a small independent press and design practice—run by the brilliant and immensely talented designer, Rachel Mendelsohn—that explores language and how we utilize it. In Bad Lang Vol. II, Rachel reached out to a select group of artists, designers, and writers to create works that center on how they interpret language to be, “bad,” and how those interpretations inform their practice.
I used Fuji Yamamoto’s The 48 Ways, a “scholarly” sex manual free of, “smutty jokes and dirty pictures,” as the primer for an abstracted dialogue questioning and reframing narratives around sexual identity, pleasure, and romance.
